Paren Nyawi has had a diverse professional journey and significant involvement in various sectors, particularly in accounting, community engagement, and arts and culture.
Accounting Career:
- Worked at a public accounting firm in Kuala Lumpur from March 2005 to April 2009.
- Transitioned to the role of an internal auditor at a publicly-listed company in Damansara, Selangor, serving from May 2009 to May 2015.
- Became a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants with the designation of C.A (M) since July 31, 2008.
Community and Political Engagement:
- Actively engaged in community and political endeavors in the Kapit region from June 2015 to June 2018.
Board Membership:
- Held a position as a Board Member and audit committee member of the Malaysian Pepper Board (MPB) from July 2018 to July 2020.
Association with MPOCC:
- Associated with the Malaysian Palm Oil Certification Council (MPOCC) since April 2019, contributing to the Malaysian Sustainable Palm Oil (MSPO) in Sarawak Region.

- Served as Vice Chairman for Persatuan Warisan Sarawak Kuala Lumpur & Selangor from January 2012 to December 2014.
- Event Coordinator for the Borneo Hornbill Festival in 2012, 2013, and 2014.
- Served as a Judge for the Borneo Hornbill Festival in 2016 and 2017.
- Operational Director for the International Borneo Fest 2018 in June 2018.
Health Sector Involvement:
- Served as a Board of Visitor for Hospital Kapit - Ministry of Health Malaysia, contributing to the health sector from January 2019 to December 2020.
