Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) is backing PRS’ concerns over the prospect of 80,000 teachers

After James Masing questions alleged transfer of 80,000 teachers from Peninsular Malaysia yesterday.
Today, their counterpart   PBS Sabah backing PRS' concerns over the prospect of 80,000 teachers from Peninsular Malaysia being transferred to Sarawak next year, which is seen as a negative development for locals who are interested in teaching.

Parti Bersatu Sabah statement:-

“There are tens of thousands of qualified and genuinely interested local youths ready to take up the challenge of becoming teachers in Sabah and Sarawak.

“PBS has no plausible explanation for the massive transfer of teachers from peninsula Malaysia to either Sabah or Sarawak.

“While it may have been justifiable 20 years ago, today, that is no longer possible,”

Masing was quoted yesterday as saying that he feared the move would be implemented at the expense of potential Sarawakian teachers.
