BUNGAI NUING is known as God of War (Iban/Sea Dayak) & cousin of Keling Iban Legendary of God.

Based on Iban Legends and myths:
BUNGAI NUING(half God /half Human) 
 REMAUNG( a creature -LION Look a like but (Half Human/Half Lion )( do you believe if Lion ever existed in BORNEO)

When REMAUNG rampantly preyed for Iban People in Katibas River . BUNGAI NUING came down from Heaven(Pangau Libau) to stop REMAUNG & protected the Iban.

According to the myth of Iban Katibas, BATU GOING was a where REMAUNG dwelled in Katibas River that had One hole (Sole Entrance).
To kill this creature, BUNGAI NUING had blocked the hole while REMAUNG inside his dwelling place and make him trapped & died. Eventually, this ROCK turned to this feature, similar to a GONG or TAWAK. After the Bungai Nuing's Stone ..blocked the hole in the middle of this ROCK.

Legend has it that an Iban warrior named Bungai Nuing leapt from this rock and landed on the other side of the riverbank – a distance of some 40 metres.

Motif Lelanjang Bungai Nuing dicipta dan diberi nama daripada pengaruh dewa perang yang dipercayai tinggal di alam ghaib dan tempat tinggal itu dinamakan oleh masyarakat Iban Panggau Libau Gegiau Takang Isang. Secara tersurat maksud lelanjang Bungai Nuing bermaksud alat perhiasan kepala dewa Bungai Nuing. Menurut sastera lisan atau cerita mitos masyarakat Iban, Bungai Nuing adalah seorang dewa perang yang gagah, berani dan suka bercakap besar. Selain itu, dia juga selalu suka mendahului dewa-dewa yang lain apabila pergi berperang atau ngayau dan dipercayai juga Bungai Nuing telah mendapat banyak kepala musuh.
